There is really nothing new in the young lovers' happiness, nothing idiosyncratic, but it possesses a power that is great for its quiet modesty. Such moments of life at peace with itself, and the artist's (like Prospero's) participation in their happiness, inevitably evoke this paradoxical power of quietude.
